Site Overview: Chakra Teertham is a sacred pond and waterfall located in the same complex as Silathoranam. It is famous for its Swayambhu Shiva Lingam and is considered the spot where the Lord’s Sudarshana Chakra created a natural reservoir.
History & Legend: Legend says Lord Vishnu sent his Sudarshana Chakra to clear the demons from this forest so Sage Brahma could perform penance. The disc struck the ground with such power that it created this teertham. It is believed that a dip here can cleanse one of all sins and physical ailments.
